Normal Copying If the copier has not been used for a long period of time, before operation move the platen by hand to the right, left and back to the center. Paper jams are most often caused by wrinkled or curled copy paper usage or by turning the power switch OFF while the copier is copying. Always turn on the power switch slowly.

If Paper Jams Occur Frequently (Cleaning the Static Charge Eliminator) (PC940/PC941)
When a paper jam occurs, first check to make sure the copy paper fits securely in the cassette tray and that the length guides of the cassette tray are adjusted correctly. If a paper jam occurs even though the cop paper is set securely in the cassette tray, follow the procedure below to clean the static charge eliminator.
