Update the firmware using the Firmware Update Tool. Connect the printer and computer via either the USB or network interfaces and put the printer in the online state in advance. Exit all other running programs.

Print jobs are displayed in the imagePROGRAF Printmonitor window from the moment the printer starts receiving the print data until the moment printing is finished. They are not displayed before print data is sent to the printer , even if the computer has started preparing the print data.

The printer protocol was changed from LPD (Line Printer Daemon) to IPP (Internet Printing Protocol). The CUPS driver was not selected (the default setting is Generic PostScript Printer). The computer was unable to connect to the printer so it selected the iPF5000 as default.
