Locate the Serial Number iP2700 / iP2702

The serial number of the printer is visible when the top cover is opened, looking down into the printer as shown below.

Install the Ink Cartridge Securely If the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover is not closed securely, ink may not be ejected correctly. Open the Front Cover, open the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover, then close the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover. When you close the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover, push the Ink Cartridge Locking Cover until it clicks into place.

The Quality setting controls how finely ink droplets are placed on the printed page. Depending on the type of paper being used a higher Print Quality setting does not always insure a better print. Print speed will decrease as the Print Quality setting is increased. Follow the instructions below to change the print quality settings in the Canon printer driver for the Windows operating system through a printing application.

Remove Foreign Objects from the Paper Path If there are any foreign objects in the Rear Tray, be sure to turn off the printer, unplug it from the power supply, then remove the foreign object. If the foreign object cannot be removed with ease, open the Front Cover and remove the foreign object.

Cleaning the encoder (timing) strip - iP2700 / iP2702
|
The timing strip is a clear, plastic strip approximately ΒΌ" in height positioned horizontally across the center of the unit, just in front of the carriage drive belt. The timing strip contains many thin black vertical lines that help determine the carriage position during operation.
