Replace the Ink Tank(s) Once an ink tank has been installed, do not remove it from the printer and leave it out in the open. This will cause the ink tank to dry out, and the printer may not operate properly when it is reinstalled. To maintain optimal printing quality, use an ink tank within six months of first use.
Fan paper prior to inserting it into the printer. Insert the stack of paper back into the tray (print side up for Auto Sheet Feeder, print side down for Cassette). Slide the paper guide( s ) to fit the loaded paper stack. Press <Resume>.

4. Click the Ports tab to confirm the port settings. Make sure that a port named "USBnnn" (where "n" is a number) with "Canon XXX" appearing in the Printer column is selected for Print to the following port( s ). If the setting is incorrect:
