The USB 2.0 Hi-Speed device can work on USB 1.1 or USB 2.0
HI-SPEED USB Device Plugged into non-HI-SPEED USB Hub. In most cases, if a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed device is connected to a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed port on the computer, it can perform faster. However, faster performance speeds may not be possible with USB powered scanners such as the LiDE series scanners. This is due to the fact that the scanner is already performing at the fastest possible speed using the maximum power that is supplied by USB.
