If documents are not feeding properly, it may be due to static electricity. If this is the case, before you place your document, thoroughly fan the stack of papers and align their edges.
Some applications may not support functions such as auto-detection of the paper size. Scanning documents with an applicaiton such as this will result in abnormal scanned image.
