If you are connected via USB and receive this message, make sure the Wireless button on the back of the scanner is set to "OFF". By default, it is set to "ON" and you will receive this error message if trying to use the scanner via USB.
Before you can use barcodes with CaptureOnTouch Pro, you must first have purchased (from your dealer) and installed the Barcode Module and/or Barcode Module 2 D. Once installed, ensure that the scanner is connected to the computer and you have launched CaptureOnTouch Pro.
You can click on the pencil icon to adjust the settings that you need or, if you wish, click on "New document" to create a new set of specific settings that you require. Select the output type you wish to you by clicking on it (see step 2 below). You can also edit the settings of the output by clicking on the pencil icon.
When scanning large-sized documents with the Long Document mode, scanning may be slower. Errors may also occur due to memory shortage and scanning may be disabled.
