What data is saved on the SD memory card? (XF305/XF300)
Solution Photo data as well as settings data, such as custom pictures and setting items in the menu, are saved on the SD / SDHC memory card (hereinafter called SD card ). In addition, it is possible to save user memo files created with the supplied software (Canon XF Utility) on the SD card so that you can transfer the file to the camcorder to use the data.

The first time you use any recording media with this camcorder, initialize it first. You can also initialize recording media to permanently delete all the data it contains. When initializing an SD card , you can select quick initialization, which clears the file allocation table but does not physically erase the stored data, or complete initialization, which deletes all data completely.

The XF305/XF300 camcorders allow you to preset a number of picture-related settings for purposes such as making the optimal settings to accommodate shooting conditions and using special effects. You can save and reuse the custom picture settings saved to the camcorder and SD cards as a custom picture file. Also, if you make the custom picture settings before shooting, you can save them to a CF card along with clips or to an SD card along with photos.
