Troubleshooting the camera displaying Communication Error when connected to the computer via USB. If the camera displays "Communication Error," when trying to download images the main cause for this error is that there are more than 1000 images stored on the memory card. It is recommended if there are more than 1000 images on the memory card, that you use a card reader to acquire the images, or to delete images off of the memory so that there are less than 1000 images to download from the memory card.

4. The folder you have selected will appear under the [Folders] heading, and the images contained in the folder will be displayed. Only 1000 images are displayed in ImageBrowser EX. If more than 1000 images are contained in the desired folder, it will be necessary to change the ImageBrowser EX settings to display the additional images.
Communication error Images could not be transferred to the computer or printed due to the large amount of images (approx. 1000 ) stored on the memory card. Use a commercially available USB card reader to transfer the images.
