Disconnect other device from the telephone line

Devices such as a computer modem, answering machine not connected to the fax or similar answering device may automatically pick up the call. Resend a test fax to your machine to make sure it answers. If your answering machine is not connected to the fax machine , the fax will not be able to detect the transmit signals emitted from the sending machine. Connect the answering machine to the fax as indicated, marked by a blue arrow in the magnified view.

Even though this unit does not have a copy counter, here are several suggestions that might prove useful in trying to keep track of the number of copies made (yield) on the copier. Note: If your copier also acts as a fax machine , every fax and report that it prints counts as a copy (toner is being used). Also, if you have the copier connected to a computer and use it as a printer, every page printed is also a copy.
