Other devices attached to the computer can block proper communication. Check to see if there are any devices (other than USB keyboards or mice) connected to the computer. Disconnect the device( s ) and restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted, attempt your process again.
Choose this mode if: telephone company. This service assigns two or more telephone numbers with distinctive ring patterns to a single telephone line, allowing you to have a fax number( s ) and a telephone number( s ) using only one telephone line. Your machine will automatically monitor incoming calls and based on the ring pattern, will let you know if the call is a fax or voice call.

If [DOCUMENT READY] does not appear when a document is inserted or [DOC. TOO LONG] appears or if documents do not feed properly, follow this procedure to check the ADF for obstructions. You do not need to turn off the power when clearing document jams. Load a document( s ) in the ADF. Adjust the document guides and continue to use the machine.
