You can confirm the status of each ink tank on the printer status monitor (Windows). An error message may appear while printing. Confirm the message and take an appropriate action.
In case an error occurred when a document is printed by the client system to a shared printer, the error message of Canon IJ Status Monitor will be displayed on the client system and the print server system. For regular printing, Canon IJ Status Monitor will be displayed only on the client system.
Sharing the printer and using it on a network If an error occurs when printing a document from a client to a shared printer, an error message is displayed on the client and the server machines. Status messages are only displayed on the client.
Make sure that the printer is not displaying any errors (flashing lights or error codes on the screen). If the printer is in an error state (paper jam, ink has run out, etc.) please address the error state first. Then, move to the next step.
