Before Starting on the printer you are adding to your Chromebook. Your Chromebook will detect printers connected via USB as well as WiFi printers already on the network. If your printer is not on your network but has a screen, it is easiest to follow the instructions with your printer to make the connection via its operation panel.

Download and run the setup file.* If you don't do this before printing, the computer may send the print job to the wrong printer listing. You may receive an error indicating that the printer is offline. Removing this additional printer listing before printing will prevent communication errors from occurring.
