DVD's created with your VIXIA series AVCHD camcorder and the DW-100 DVD burner are recorded using the AVCHD standard for high definition video. These discs are not compatible with standard DVD players. These discs may be played back by connecting the DW-100 to your VIXIA series camcorder and then connecting the camcorder to the television or they may be played in most Blu-Ray disc players.
Movies recorded in the built-in memory of a camcorder can be down-converted* to standard definition in the camcorder, and then the down-converted movies can be copied to standard-definition DVD discs in the DVD-Video format using the optional DW-100 DVD Burner .
Method 2: Even without a computer, you can convert your video recordings into standard definition scenes and create DVD's using the optional DW-100 DVD Burner .
