Description

Learn how to remove paper jams from your PIXMA MX300.

Solution

Follow the procedure below to remove the paper jam.

Paper jam in the paper output slot or the rear tray

  1. Slowly pull the paper out, either from the rear tray or from the paper output slot, whichever is easier.

  2. If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the machine, turn the machine off, open the scanning unit (printer cover) and remove it.

  3. Be careful not to touch the components inside the machine.

  4. After you remove all paper, close the scanning unit (printer cover), and turn it back on.

  5. If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the machine off and turn it back on. The paper will be ejected automatically.

  6. Reload the paper in the machine, and press the OK button on the machine.

  7. If you turned off the machine, all print jobs in queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.

Landscape credit card-sized paper jam inside the machine

  1. Do not load credit card-sized paper in landscape orientation.

  2. Slowly pull out the paper from the rear tray and remove it.

If you cannot remove the paper jam or the paper jam error continues after you removed it, your printer will require service.
