Solution
Erasing images - PowerShot A630 and A640
Please note that erased images cannot be recovered. Exercise caution before erasing a file.
Turn on the camera, and slide the mode switch to
.
Select the image you wish to erase using the
or
button and press the
button.
- A confirmation screen appears.
Select [Erase] using the
or
button and press the <FUNC./

ET> button
.
To cancel instead of erasing, select [Cancel] and press the <FUNC./
SET>
button.
Protected images cannot be erased with the erase function.
Erasing All Images
Turn on the camera, and slide the mode switch to
.
Press the <MENU> button to open the menu.
In the [
(Replay)] menu, select [Erase all..] and press the <FUNC./

ET> button.
- A confirmation screen appears.
Select [OK] using the
or
button and press the <FUNC./

ET> button.
To cancel instead of erasing, select [Cancel] and press the <
SET>
button.
Protected images cannot be erased with the Erase all function.
The [Erase all] function erases all the image data recorded on the SD card.
You should format the SD card when you want to erase not only image data, but also all the data contained on the card.
