Learn how to use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup^®) to connect your MAXIFY MB2020 printer to a wireless network (LAN), using the printer's Cableless Setup method .

Solution

Your MAXIFY MB2020 printer can be connected to a Wi-Fi^® network using the printer's Cableless Setup method. All you need is a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup^®) capable router.

Note If you aren't sure whether your wireless router is WPS enabled, consult your router's instruction manual.

To connect your printer wirelessly

You first need to set it up to receive network information from a computer or mobile device.

From the Home screen on your printer, use the arrows to select WLAN, then press OK.
Press Wireless LAN setup. The printer searches for WPS capable routers nearby.

If a WPS capable router is found, you'll see the screen below.

If you don't see this screen, skip to step 5.
When prompted, press the WPS button on your router.
On the printer screen, press the Stop button.
On the Wireless LAN setup screen, select Other setup, then press OK.
Select Cableless setup and press OK.
Press OK.
When the screen below appears, continue with the setup. You can either:
- Download the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY app on your mobile device (Android™ / iOS^®)
- Download the setup program for a Windows PC
- Download the setup program for a Mac^®
