How to set exposure compensation

Solution

Exposure compensation is used to alter the camera's standard exposure setting. You can make the picture look lighter (increased exposure) or darker (decreased exposure). The exposure compensation can be set up to +/-2 stops in 1/2 stop increments

Press the shutter button halfway and confirm the exposure in the viewfinder information display

Press the exposure compensation button

  • The exposure compensation scale appears in the viewfinder information display

Use to DOWN (*) button or UP () button to set the exposure compensation amount

  • To reduce the exposure, press the DOWN (*) button
  • To increase the exposure, press the UP ()
  • When finished shooting, return the compensation amount to "0"
