Message LCD: Mode settings can be made. (MF7400 Series)

Solution

Check the following items when the LCD message "Mode settings can be made." is displayed at the top left.

Check the lower left side of the screen for an error message and take steps to resolve.

 

The error in this example is to "Check your Document." This error refers to a document jam in the ADF (top feeder).

Set the scan mode to [Offline]. (MF7470/MF7480 only)

1. Press the [Scan] button at the top of the control panel.

2. Press [Offline] on the LCD.
