Positioning Multiple Items for the Multi-Scan or Multi-crop Function (LiDE 70, LiDE 600F, 4400F, 8600F)

Check the position of the photos on the document glass. Observe the following when using the Multi-Scan or Multi-crop function.
  • Leave at least 1 cm from the edges of the document glass as shown.
  • Leave at least 1 cm between documents.
  • If an item is slightly crooked (within 10 degrees), the image is automatically straightened.
  • A maximum of 10 items can be scanned at once.
  • The following items may not be correctly cropped and detected:
    • Irregular-shaped photos
    • Documents smaller than 3 cm x 3 cm
  • Make sure the document cover is fully closed when scanning.

* If the Multi Scan function is used with an application program that cannot receive multiple images, the scanned images are passed to the application as a single, composite image. In this case, use the [Multi Scan] function and save the images with CanoScan Toolbox or ArcSoft PhotoStudio, and then open these files with the applications you want to use.
* If [Recommended] or [Color Matching] is selected in the [Color Settings] sheet of the [Preferences] window, Auto Tone adjustment is performed for each image individually.
