Running the CanoScan Setup manually (LiDE 500F)

1. For Windows XP, click 'Start', and then select 'My Computer'.
   For other Windows operating systems, double-click the 'My Computer' icon on in the Windows desktop.
   
   
2. Double-click on the 'CANOSCAN' icon to start the CanoScan setup utility.
   
   
3. Double-click the 'Setup' icon. This will start the CanoScan Setup Utility.
   
   

Macintosh

1. First, double-click the "CanoScan LiDE 500F" icon on desktop.
   
    
    
2. Next, double-click the "Setup" icon in the finder.
   
   
   
3. The main menu screen of CanoScan Setup will appear.
