Solution

Erasing images - PowerShot A630 and A640

Please note that erased images cannot be recovered. Exercise caution before erasing a file.

  1. Turn on the camera, and slide the mode switch to .

  2. Select the image you wish to erase using the or button and press the button.
    - A confirmation screen appears.



  3. Select [Erase] using the or button and press the <FUNC./SET> button.
  • To cancel instead of erasing, select [Cancel] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.
  • Protected images cannot be erased with the erase function.

Erasing All Images

  1. Turn on the camera, and slide the mode switch to .

  2. Press the <MENU> button to open the menu.

  3. In the [ (Replay)] menu, select [Erase all..] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.
    - A confirmation screen appears.



  4. Select [OK] using the or button and press the <FUNC./SET> button.
  • To cancel instead of erasing, select [Cancel] and press the <SET> button.
  • Protected images cannot be erased with the Erase all function.
  • The [Erase all] function erases all the image data recorded on the SD card.
  • You should format the SD card when you want to erase not only image data, but also all the data contained on the card.
