The Printer Beeps and the Power Light Flashes Orange

2 Beeps - Paper out, paper jam, or paper feed error
Set the paper correctly. If a paper has jammed in the printer, remove the jam and press the Resume button.

3 Beeps - Paper jam
If a paper has jammed in the printer, remove the jam and press the Resume button.

4 Beeps - Out of ink
Replace the empty BJ ink tank.

5 Beeps - The BJ cartridge is not installed correctly
Make sure each BJ cartridge is installed in the correct location. The BC-30 or the BC-32 Photo cartridge must be installed in the left slot of the cartridge holder. The BC-31 Color cartridge must be installed in the right slot of the cartridge holder.

6 Beeps - BJ cartridge not installed
Make sure BJ cartridges are installed. The BC-30 or the BC-32 Photo cartridge must be installed in the left slot of the cartridge holder. The BC-31 Color cartridge must be installed in the right slot of the cartridge holder.

7 Beeps - The BJ cartridge may be defective
Remove BJ cartridges and make sure the contacts on the cartridge and cartridge holder are clean. Make sure the orange protective tape has been removed from the print head and install the cartridge again.

8 Beeps - Waste ink tank nearly full
Press the Resume button to skip the error so you can continue printing. If your product issue was not resolved after following the steps above, or if you require additional help, please create or log in to your Canon Account to see your technical support options.

9 Beeps - Automatic print head alignment failed
Either a BJ ink tank has run out, the print head nozzles are clogged or strong light has entered the paper output slot preventing the correct print head alignment.

10 (or more) Beeps - Service Error
Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the power outlet, and wait a few minutes. Plug the power in, turn on the printer, and try again. If the error continues to occur, the unit may need to be serviced.
