This article explains what to do when the power lamp on your PIXMA G Series printer flashes twice during the initial setup.
Solution
After filling the ink tanks in your PIXMA G Series printer when setting it up for the first time, the printer's power lamp will flash twice when it is powered on.
Press the STOP button until the POWER lamp flashes again, and then release the button.
The printer will begin to initialize. Please note that initialization takes about 6 minutes.
After the initialization has completed, proceed with installing the software for your printer.
