Description

This article explains how you can perform a system cleaning on your PIXMA G2200.  Please note that this process uses an enormous amount of ink.  It should not be executed unless it is absolutely necessary.

Solution

If you are experiencing print quality issues, and a couple of print head cleanings and a deep cleaning have not resolved the problem, a system cleaning may help resolve your print quality issue.  Please note that this process uses an enormous amount of ink.  It should not be executed unless it is absolutely necessary.

Before executing the system cleaning, be sure that the ink tanks are full.  If they are not full, you may experience an error.

Follow the steps below to execute the system cleaning.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Press and hold the Stop button until the Alarm lamp blinks five times.

  3. Release the Stop button.

  4. The system cleaning process will begin.  This may take up to 10 minutes to complete.
