You should install the software in the following sequence:

1. EOS DIGITAL SOLUTION DISK

2. Photoshop 5.0 LE

Do not connect the camera to your computer before you have installed the software as this will prevent successful software installation.

1. Start up your computer.

Close any programs that are running before you begin installing the software.

2. Load the SOLUTION DISK into the CD-ROM drive.

The SOLUTION DISK icon appears on the desktop.

3. Start the installer.

Double-click the SOLUTION DISK icon s the [Canon Digital Camera Installer] icon to start.

The Installer panel appears.

4. Click [Digital Camera Software Installation].

5. Select the software to be installed.

Click the checkboxes for the software to be installed and then click the [Install] button.

6. Read all of the Software User License Agreement carefully. If you agree to the terms of the license, click the [Agree] button.

7. Select the folder in which the software will be installed and then click the [Choose] button.

8. Proceed with the installation as directed by the on-screen messages.

When installation ends, a restart dialog box appears.

9. Click the [Yes] button and restart your computer.

10. Copy the Plug-In Module to the software you will use.

Copy the [Canon Camera Plug-In 4] file in the [Camera Plug-In] folder located inside the [Canon Utilities] folder to the plug-ins folder for the software you are using. Then restart your computer.

For the bundled Photoshop 5.0 LE application, after you have installed Photoshop 5.0 LE, copy the [Canon Camera Plug-In 4] file to the [Import/Export] folder located inside the [Plug-Ins] folder in the [Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE] folder. Then restart your computer.
