Description

If you receive an Error 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or  8, related to memory errors.

Check the label shown below on the back of the scanner to see if there is a red dot as shown on the example.

If there is a red dot try updating your scanner firmware by downloading and installing Firmware Version 2.05.01 or greater to correct this issue.  If there is no red dot and the scanner firmware is not at least Firmware Version 2.05.01 or greater setup an exchange.

Solution

1.  Please download the L36e firmware  [CLICKING HERE].   Please download the L24e firmware  [CLICKING HERE].

2.  Extract ALL files to an empty USB memory stick.

3.  Install the USB memory stick into the scanner.

4.  If the scanner recognizes that the USB stick contains the software, it will automatically open the Load Firmware menu from where the software will be installed.

5.  To load the firmware software select the Load Firmware menu manually.  From the Home Page, select Scanner Settings.

6.  Scroll and select Load Firmware.

7.  Select the Tick icon and the scanner will start to load the firmware and will indicate progress.

8.  DO NOT SWITCH OFF the scanner during the loading process as this can cause permanent damage to the scanner.  The UI will display the percentage complete while it loads the software into the scanner.  If you get another error  use a different USB stick and try loading the file again.  The USB stick has been known to cause this situation.

9.  You should now be able to use your scanner without receiving the above memory errors.
