Reviewing an Image Right after Shooting

After a photo is taken, the image appears on the LCD monitor for two seconds (you can change this setting). In addition, the image will keep on displaying regardless of the review duration setting if one of the following operations is performed.

  • Keeping the shutter button pressed

    The image continues to appear on the LCD monitor as long as you keep the shutter button fully depressed.

  • Pressing the <FUNC./SET> or DISPLAY button while the image is displayed

    The image will continue to display even after the shutter button is released. To let the camera return to Shooting mode, press the shutter button halfway.

  • You can perform the following while images are displayed*.
    • Erasing images individually
    • Displaying images in Detailed Display mode
    • Magnifying Images
    • Changing the recording format
    • Attaching sound memos

      * Not available in (Stitch Assist) mode.

Changing the Image Display Duration

The length of time images are displayed after a photo has been taken can be changed anywhere from holding the image, to 2 - 10 seconds or turned off.


  1. In the [ (Rec.)] menu, select [Review].


  2. Select a Review setting using the or button and once you choice is selected press the <MENU> button.
  • [Off]: The image will not automatically display.
  • [Hold] the image will display until the shutter is depressed or you shoot another picture.
  • [2 sec.] to [10 sec.]: The image will appear for the time selected even if the shutter button is released.
  • You can continue to display the image as long as the shutter button is held down regardless of the Review setting.
  • Another picture can be taken by pressing the shutter button even while the last is displayed.
