Print the Nozzle Check Pattern
Printing a nozzle test will help diagnose an ink tank or print head issue.
1. With the printer on, load a sheet of Letter paper in the printer.
2.Press and hold the <Resume/Cancel> button. When the power lamp flashes twice, release the button.
The nozzle check pattern will be printed. (This will take about 10 seconds.)
Examining the Nozzle Check Pattern
Once the page has printed examine the nozzle check pattern. If the pattern is good, no further action is required.
Example of a good pattern:
If the if colors or lines are missing in the grids, you may need to replace an ink tank or perform print head cleaning.
Some lines are missing from the grid pattern.
