Adjusting the Volume

1. Press [ ] (Menu).

2. Press [ ] or [ ] to select <Preferences>, and then press [OK].

3. Press [ ] or [ ] to select <Sound Volume Control>, and then press [OK].

4. Press [ ] or [ ] to select a setting item, and then press [OK].

Setting items Overview Operation
<Fax Tone> Adjusts the volume of the transmission sound while a fax is being transmitted. Press [ ] or [ ] to select <On> to activate the transmission sound or <Off> to deactivate the transmission sound, and then press [OK].
Proceed to Step 5.
<Ring Tone> Adjusts the ring volume when receiving a fax. Press [ ] or [ ] to select <On> to activate the ring or <Off> to deactivating the sound, and then press [OK].
Proceed to Step 5.
<TX Done Tone> Adjusts the volume when completing sending a fax. Press [ ] or [ ] to select <On> to activate the tone or <Off> to deactivate the tone, and then press [OK]. When selecting , a tone will sound only when an error occurs.
Proceed to Step 5.
<RX Done Tone> Adjusts the volume when completing receiving a fax.
<Scanning Done Tone> Adjusts the volume when scanning a fax document is complete.
<Entry Tone> Specifies whether or not the machine makes a sound when a key is pressed on the operation panel is. Press [ ] or [ ] select <On> to activate the tone or <Off> to deactivate the tone, and then press [OK].
Proceed to Step 5.
<Entry Error Tone> Specifies whether or not the machine makes a sound when an invalid key is pressed.
<Warning Tone> Specifies whether or not the machine makes a sound when a paper jam or improper operation occurs.
<Job Done Tone> Specifies whether or not the machine makes a sound when a job is completed.

5. Press [ ] or [ ] to adjust the volume, and then press [OK].

6. Press [ ] (Menu) to close the menu screen.
