  • Based on using the screen and a fully charged battery pack (LP-E6N), with [4 Disp. performance] set to [Smooth], and following CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) testing standards.
  • With Battery Grip BG-E22 (sold separately) loaded with two LP-E6N battery packs, the number of possible shots will be approximately doubled.
  • With [4 Disp. performance] set to [Power saving], approx. 450 shots are possible at room temperature and approx. 430 at low temperatures.

  • The number of possible shots is based on Canon's testing standards and an 32GB card.
  • The maximum burst during continuous shooting is based on Canon's standard testing SD card (Standard: 32GB, High-speed: UHS-II 32GB) and testing standards ( High-speed continuous shooting, still photo cropping/aspect ratio: Full-frame, ISO 100, without Dual Pixel RAW, Standard Picture Style).
  • The file size, number of possible shots, and maximum burst will vary depending on the subject, card brand, still photo cropping/aspect ratio, ISO speed, Picture Style, Custom Functions, and other settings.
  • Automatically set to  Low-speed continuous shooting when shooting with Dual Pixel RAW.
  • "Full" indicates that shooting is possible until the card becomes full with the listed conditions.

Even if you use a high-speed SD card, maximum burst indicator will not change. The maximum burst in the table will apply instead.

ISO Speed in Movie Shooting
In [] Mode
  • For HD/Full HD and High Frame Rate movies, ISO speed is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-25600.
  • For 4K movies, ISO speed is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-12800.
In [], [], and [] Modes
  • For HD/Full HD and High Frame Rate movies, ISO speed is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-25600.
  • For 4K movies, ISO speed is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-12800.
  • Under [3:  ISO speed settings], if you set [ISO Auto] or [ ISO Auto] to [Max.:H2(102400)], the maximum limit of the automatic ISO speed setting range will be expanded to H2 (equivalent to ISO 102400). You can lower the maximum value to narrow the automatic ISO speed setting range.
  • With [3: Highlight tone priority] set to [Enable], the automatic ISO speed setting range is ISO 200-25600 for HD/Full HD and High Frame Rate movies and ISO 200-12800 for 4K movies.
In [] Mode
  • For HD/Ful HD and High Frame Rate movies with ISO speed set to [Auto], it is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-25600.
  • For 4K movies with ISO speed set to [Auto], ISO speed is automatically set in a range of ISO 100-12800.
  • When setting ISO Auto, setting [ISO Auto] or [ ISO Auto] under [3:  ISO speed settings] to [Max.:H2(102400)] expands the maximum speed in the automatic ISO speed setting range to H2 (equivalent to ISO 102400). You can lower the maximum value to narrow the automatic ISO speed setting range.
  • You can set the ISO speed manually in a range of ISO 100-25600 for HD/Full HD and High Frame Rate movies and ISO 100-12800 for 4K movies. Note that under [3:  ISO speed settings], setting [Maximum] for [ISO speed range] or [ range] to [H2 (102400)] expands the maximum speed in the manual ISO speed setting range to H2 (equivalent to ISO 102400). Note that you can also set the [Maximum] and [Minimum] to a range narrower than the default range.
  • If [3: Highlight tone priority] is set to [Enable], the automatic and manual ISO speed setting range's minimum limit will be ISO 200. Even when ISO speed expansion is set, the maximum limit will not be expanded.
