Remove Packing Material

Remove packing material so that the print head holder can move.

1. Confirm that the printer is powered off (1).
   
   
   
   
2. Open the paper output tray (2) (as shown above) and then lift up the scanning unit cover until it locks into position (C).

   Caution: If the front cover is opened with the printer powered on, the print head holder may not operate properly, resulting in injury or printer problems.
   
   
3. Pull the orange protective tape (D) and remove the protective material (E).
   
   
   
   
4. Lift the scanning unit cover (B) slightly and fold the scanning unit support (C) and then gently close the scanning unit cover (B).
   
   
5. Power the printer back on.
