Scanning on the Stand - CanoScan LiDE 500F

  1. Gently open the document cover until it stops.

*Do not force the document cover open. You might damage or collapse the stand.
  1. Slide down the item along the document cover as shown in the figure to the right.

*Scan only thin items in this upright position such as a single sheet or a double-folded sheet.
  1. Close the document cover. The document cover contains a magnet to help it stick to the scanner body.

*If there is space between the joint of the document cover and the document glass as shown in the left figure, put the stand back, open and close the cover once again to reposition the joint as shown in the right figure.
