List of Messages - PowerShot A610 & A620 & A700

The following messages may appear on the LCD monitor.

Busy... Image is being recorded to, or read from, SD card, the playback mode is starting up, the card is being formatted, or the camera is resetting settings to default.
No Memory card You turned on the camera without a memory card installed.
Cannot record! You attempted to shoot an image without a memory card installed, or attempted to attach a sound memo to a movie.
Memory card error SD card has experienced an anomaly. Save all the images you wish to retain onto a computer, then reformat the memory card. Please note that formatting will erase all the existing images and other data.
Memory card full Memory card is full of images and no more can be recorded or saved. Or no more image settings or sound memos can be recorded.
Card Locked ! The SD memory card is write-protected.
Naming error! The image could not be created because there is an image with the same name as the directory that the camera is attempting to create, or the highest possible file number has already been reached. In the Set up menu, set [File No. Reset] to [On]. Save all the images you wish to retain onto a computer, then reformat the memory card. Please note that formatting will erase all the existing images and other data.
Change the batteries Battery charge is insufficient to operate the camera. Replace all 4 batteries immediately with unused AA-size alkaline batteries or fully charged Canon AA-size NiMH batteries.
No image No images recorded on memory card. Displays in mode.
Image too large You attempted to play back an image larger than 4992 x 3328 pixels or with a large data size.
Incompatible JPEG format You attempted to replay an incompatible JPEG file.
Corrupted data You attempted to replay an image with corrupted data.
RAW You attempted to play back a RAW image.
Unidentified Image You attempted to play back an image that was recorded in a special data type (proprietary data type used by the camera of another manufacturer, etc.) or a movie clip recorded by another camera.
Cannot magnify! You attempted to magnify an image recorded in a different camera or data type, an image edited with a computer, or a movie.
Cannot rotate You attempted to rotate an image recorded in a different camera or data type, an image edited with a computer, or a movie.
Incompatible WAVE format A sound memo cannot be added to this image since the data type of the existing sound memo is incorrect.
Cannot register this image! You attempted to register an image recorded in a different camera or a movie as a start-up image.
Protected! You attempted to erase or edit a protected image, movie or sound memo.
Too many marks Too many images have been marked with print settings or transfer settings. Cannot process any more.
Unselectable image You attempted to set the print settings for an non-JPEG file.
Cannot complete ! Could not save the print or transfer settings.

(xx: number) Camera malfunction. Turn the power off and then back on, then shoot or play back. Remove the batteries for at least 20 minutes, replace them with frsh batteries, then shoot or play back. A problem exists if the error code reappears. Note the number and contact our Canon Customer Support Help Desk. If an error code displays directly after taking a picture, the shot may not have been recorded. Check image in playback mode.

* Formatting the memory card will erase all files. Check the card contents, and backup any important files prior to performing the card format.
