Print settings

< 1 > Quiet mode
< 2 > Prevent paper abrasion
< 3 > Extended copy amount
< 4 > Auto cont.feed switch
< 5 > Two-sided output setting

Quiet mode: The operation noise is reduced.
Note: The printing speed when this setting is set to [ON] is reduced compared to when being set to [OFF].

Prevent paper abrasion: Use this setting only if the print surface becomes smudged.
Note: Be sure that this setting reverts to OFF after printing since the inside of the printer is likely to be dirty after continuous printing.

Extended copy amount: Select the amount of image that extends off the paper when printing in borderless.
Note: When setting [SMALL], more amount of the edges of an image is reduced.

Auto cont. feed switch: If paper runs out in one paper source, paper will be fed from the other.
Note: This function only works when paper sources are loaded with paper of the same size and type.
The supported paper size differs depending on the mode you in.

Copy mode

:

A4 / 4" x 6" / 5" x 7" / 8.5" x 11" are usable
Memory card mode

:

A4 / 4" x 6" / 5" x 7" / 8.5" x 11" are usable
FAX mode

:

A4 / 8.5" x 11" are usable

Two-sided output setting: When two-side-printed documents are fed from the ADF(Automatic Document Feeder), you have two choices to print them out.

Output by page

:

Documents are ejected with the even page facing up in ascending order, printed on sides of them. In order to achieve that, the machine flips a document one time more than FAST-by back/front. Thus, the printing time takes longer than that of FAST-by back/front due to that additional flip. However, if you turn over the pile of documents, you will have them in descending order, like 1,2,3,,,.
FAST-by back/front

:

Documents are ejected with the odd page facing up, printed on sides of paper. You can save time and it is a smart choice as long as the print volume is not so heavy.
