Description

If text on your prints is misaligned, performing a print head alignment may help to correct this problem.

Solution

Print head alignment corrects the installation positions of the print head and improves deviated colors and lines.

The procedure for performing print head alignment is as follows:

 Note

  • If you are adjusting the head position while the software is being installed from the Setup CD-ROM, start from Step 3.

Print Head Alignment

  1. Open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

  2. Click Print Head Alignment.
The Print Head Alignment dialog box opens.

  3. In the rear tray, load 2 sheets of plain A4-sized or Letter-sized paper.

  4. Make sure that the printer is on and click Start.
Follow the instructions in the message.

     Important

    • Do not open the cover while printing is in progress; otherwise, printing will stop.
