Error while printing on macOS: "Printing cannot be performed with current configuration".

Description

 While attempting to print on a macOS, you receive the error: "Printing cannot be performed with the current configuration".

Solution

One thing to check that would cause this error is to make sure that the checkbox "Use Generic Printer Features" in the Printers & Scanners section is not checked.
Make sure this checkbox is not used.
Try the print job again.
