Scanning error "Cannot scan because of the following:"

Solution

The following error screen is displayed when the scanner is not set to the correct mode on the control panel.

 

The following screen is displayed after pressing [OK].

 

Follow the steps below to resolve the error.

1. Press [ ] (Scan).

2. Press [ ] or [ ] to highlight <Remote scanner>, and then press [OK].

 

3. Start the scan again from the MF Toolbox.
