The recommended AC adapter for this camera is the Canon ACK600.  This optional adapter kit allows you to operate the camera continuously without worrying about having to stop and replace the batteries. Use of the kit is recommended when you are planning long sessions with the camera, and whenever you connect the camera to a computer.

Please do not attempt to use any AC adapter other than AC Adapter Kit ACK600 with your camera. Use of a different adapter may result in damage to the camera or to the adapter. Canon cannot make any judgement as to the useability of any 3rd party accessories.
