Connecting Your Printer to a Wireless LAN via WPS PIN (Windows) - iX6820

This article explains how to connect the PIXMA iX6820 to a wireless network via the WPS PIN method.

 

Solution

Your printer can be connected to a wireless network using the WPS PIN code method.  Follow the steps below to connect your printer to your wireless network using this method.
  1. Insert your setup CD-ROM or download the Full Driver & Software Package from here.  If you download the Full Driver & Software Package, run the file after it has been saved to your computer.  If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Yes or Continue.

 Note
  • If the AutoPlay screen appears, click Run Msetup4.exe.  If this screen does not computer, open Windows Explorer, navigate to your optical drive (usually D: or E:) and double click Msetup4.exe.
 
  1. When the setup program begins, click Next.


     
  2. When this screen appears, click Network Connection.


     
  3. Select Wireless Connection.


     
  4. Click Next.


     
  5. Click Connect to the network.


     
  6. Click the word here on the right side of the window.


     
  7. Follow the instructions as shown and click Next.


     
  8. Follow the instructions as shown and click Next.


     
  9. Follow the instructions as shown and click Next.


     
  10. Make sure that the blue Wi-Fi lamp on the printer is lit, as instructed.  Then, click Next.
