Solution

Using the Wireless Controller

Install the battery (CR2025) into the Wireless Controller WL-DC300 before use.

Be particularly careful to keep the batteries out of reach of children. Seek medical assistance immediately if a child swallows a battery since corrosive battery fluids could damage the stomach or intestinal wall.

1. Place fingertip on the tab (1) and press it in the direction of the arrow while placing another fingertip on (2) and removing the battery holder.

2. Place the battery in the battery holder with the positive terminal (+) facing up. Then replace the battery holder into the wireless controller.

Shooting / Playback

You can use the wireless controler for shooting and playback.

For Shooting Mode select

1. Press the button. Then use the or button to select .

2. Set the delay time for shooting from the Menu.

- Press the <MENU> button and select [Drive Settings] and press the <FUNC./SET> button.

- Select [Wireless Delay] and use the or button to make the setting.

[0 sec] : The shutter will release at the same time you press the shutter button on the remote control.

[2 sec] : The self-timer sound beeps quickly when you press the shutter button on the remote control, the self-timer lamp blinks, and the shutter releases 2 seconds later.

[10 sec] : 2 seconds before the shutter releases, the self-timer sound and lamp speed up.

3. Press the <FUNC./SET> button and then press the <MENU> button.

Shoot using the Wireless Controller.

1. Compose the image using the zoom buttons (1).

2. Press the shutter button to shoot (2).

- When you press the <DISP.> button (3), the display changes according to the [Custom Display] setting. The <DISP.> button can only be used for switching between LCD monitor and viewfinder display.

- Only buttons (1) to (3) are used in shooting mode.

Playback mode

The operable range of the wireless controller will shorten under the following circumstances.

- When the wireless controller is used at an angle to the remote sensor.

- When strong light strikes the camera.

- When the battery is weak

When you fix the camera to a tripod and shoot still images, aim the remote controller's transmitter at the remote sensor to operate the camera from the side without touching the camera. This prevents camera shake when shooting just like using a remote release. In such cases, we recommend setting [Wireless Delay] to [0 sec] under [Drive Settings] in the Rec. menu.
