Correcting ZoomBrowser error "ZBModule"

In some cases the Operating system will cause an incorrect setting within the ZoomBrowser Compatibility properties. To check this click on the [Start] button and navigate to the ZoomBrowser program launcher. With the mouse over the ZoomBrowser program launcher, right click the mouse and choose [Properties].

Next click on the (Compatibility) tab and make sure that the box is not checked.  If it is, please click in the box to uncheck it. 

Try to open ZoomBrowser, if it opens without the "ZB Module has encountered an error" the issue is fixed. If the error message persists, perform the following steps:

- This error has been known to occur when there is an unrecognized file type in the default image location the My Pictures folder. To remedy this possibility, cut & paste the contents of "My Pictures" to another location like to a folder created on the desktop.

If this eliminates the error, have user examine the contents of the folder to eliminate any non-image files and move the "My Pictures" folder back to "My Documents."

If this does not eliminate the error you may wish to uninstall and reinstall the software. Depending on the ZoomBrowser version installed currently, you may also be able to update to a newer version of the software. To check the current version available, check www.powershot.com / Download Library, and choose your model. From this page the available version of ZoomBrowser are able to be downloaded.
