You can perform a variety of tasks right from the printer display panel.
This section describes the LED display for machine status and maintenance codes that will display on the operation panel during normal printer tasks.
The number 1 appears on the LED normally when turning on the power.
Machine status codes
The LED display indicates the machine status as follows:

Number of copies (flashes)
When copying starts, the total number to be copied appears on the screen. The LED flashes and decreases by one to indicate the remaining number of copies to be made.
Each time you press the [+] button, the number on the LED increases by one. When F appears, the number of copies is set to 20. Press the [+] button again to return to "1".

During print, scan, or maintenance operations

When an error occurs

- E and number appear alternately.
- P and number appear alternately.
An error that requires contacting the service center may have occurred.

Maintenance codes
To perform machine maintenance tasks, press the Maintenance button repeatedly until the desired code appears on the LED, then press the Black or Color button.
The LED displays maintenance codes as follows:

Prints the nozzle check pattern.
|

Cleans the print head.
|

Deep cleans the print head.
|

Prints the print head alignment sheet.
|
|
Scans the print head alignment sheet to automatically align the print head.

Prints the current head position adjustment values.
|
|
Cleans the paper feed roller.
|
|
Cleans the inside of the machine.
|
|
Switches the size of paper loaded in the rear tray between A4 and 8.5" x 11" (Letter). (This setting is used for making copies.)
|
|
Sets the machine to prevent paper abrasion.
To disable the paper abrasion function, press the Maintenance button repeatedly until the LED appears, then press the Color button.
|
|
Prints the wireless LAN setup information.
|
|
Configures the wireless LAN using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) PIN code method.
|
|
Enables or disables the wireless LAN connection.
Press the Color button to enable wireless LAN. Press the Black button to disable wireless LAN.
|
|
Resets wireless LAN settings to the defaults.
|
Error codes
When an error occurs, E and number appear alternately on the LED to indicate the error code.
For example: "E, 1, 6"
