Written Steps

If the jammed paper tears and portions remain in the machine, follow this process to remove it:

  1. Press Stop to cancel the print job.

  2. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord.

  3. Open the paper output cover.

  4. Remove any paper from the front tray.
Caution Don't touch the clear film (A). The machine can be damaged if the paper or your hands touch the clear film and blot or scratch it.

  5. Make sure the jammed paper isn't under the ink holder. If you see paper under the holder, then move it to the right or left edge - whichever allows you to remove the paper.

Note When you move the ink cartridge holder, slide it slowly.

  6. Hold the jammed paper with both hands and pull it out slowly to avoid tearing.

  7. If the paper tore while attempting to remove the jam, a piece may remain in the printer. Check to see if any small pieces remain in the machine:

    • Check under the ink cartridge holder.

    • Check the right or the left side space (B) inside the machine. If any small pieces of paper remain in these spaces, remove them.

  8. Close the paper output cover, plug in the machine, and turn it back on.

  9. Reload the paper and begin your print job again.

Note Be sure to use suitable paper and load it correctly. If the error message remains, there may still be paper in the machine.

If your product issue isn't resolved after following the steps above, your printer will require servicing.
