Starting and downloading images with ImageBrowser using the CF Card Reader or PC Card Slot interface (Powershot G3, S230, S45)

Solution

How do I start and download images with ImageBrowser using the CF Card Reader or PC Card Slot interface?

1. Place the CF card into the CF card reader or into the PC card adapter and then into the PC card slot.

2. Double-click the Canon ImageBrowser icon on the desktop to start the program. ImageBrowser will start and display the ImageBrowser Browser Window.

3. Locate the arrow to the left of the CF card icon in the Explorer View section and click on it once to display the DCIM folder.

4. Double-click the DCIM folder. The images from the CF card will display in the ImageBrowser Camera Window as small thumbnail images.

5. Select Macintosh HD in the Explorer View Section

6. Create a new folder in which to save the images from the camera. Open the File menu and select New Folder. A folder with the name "Untitled" will be created. Click the folder and change the name as you wish.

7. Select the new folder in the Explorer View Section.

8. Select the image (press Shift and click to select multiple images) you wish to download from the Camera Window and click Download. The downloaded image(s) will be saved to the computer disk and appear in the Browser Window.

9. When finished downloading images, click the close box at the upper left of the Camera Window. The Camera Window will close.
