Error in scanner.
Turn off scanner and follow instructions in User's Guide.
Scanner driver will be closed.
  • Make sure that your scanner and the computer are connected correctly.
  • Delete ScanGear (scanner driver), then reinstall ScanGear (scanner driver) from the Setup CD-ROM or our website.

  • Your scanner may be damaged.

    Restart the computer, then reconnect your scanner. If the same error message still appears, service is required.

  • Your application may not properly comply with TWAIN. Scan using another application.
203 There is not enough free disk space to complete the scan.
Scanner driver will be closed.
  • Delete unnecessary files on the hard disk and scan again.
206 The scanner is not available while in use by another application or user.
  • Exit the ScanGear (scanner driver) in use.
252 Cannot write or read file.
  • Exit running applications, check that there is sufficient free space on the hard disk, then scan again.
 
Error/Confirmation Message Solution
You are trying to scan an image exceeding 100 MB. Scanning images of this size puts a considerable load on the computer, and some applications may be unable to load the image.
Are you sure you want to continue?
  • Check your computer and application, reduce the resolution or scan area as needed, and then scan again.
You are trying to scan an image exceeding 100 MB.
Reduce image size or switch off the thumbnails view mode,
when you want to scan this image.
  • Set the scanning data size to be smaller than 100 MB by reducing the crop size, output resolution, or output size.

    Alternatively, switch to whole image view and scan.

Release the lock switch, detach the USB cable and reconnect.
Scanner driver will be closed.

    If the message still appears after releasing the scanner's lock switch, the scanner may be damaged. Service is required.
