Answer

Learn about WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) and how it can be used to quickly and easily connect your printer to your wireless network.

About WPS

WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a method that allows you to easily connect network devices to a secure wireless network.

  • The setup procedure generally involves pressing a button on the access point or wireless router during device setup (check access point/router & manual).
  • You do not need to know your SSID or password (network key) when using this method.
  • If you have a WLAN access point/router that supports WPS, you can easily connect your Canon wireless printer to your home network.

Check your router

To check if your router supports WPS, confirm your router has the symbol as shown below. ( For details, please see the access point/router & manual )
