Description

What the viewfinder indicator lights mean

Solution

Green / Orange Indicators

When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the indicators light up or blink to indicate whether or not shooting is possible.

Green indicator

Lights up:

Ready for shooting (Subject in focus)
Blinks (4 times/sec.): Close-range warning (See (1) below)
Orange indicator
Lights up: Flash has charged
Blinks (4 times/sec.): Camera shake warning in "Flash OFF' mode (See (2) below)

(1) If the close-range warning appears, release the shutter button and move away from the subject slightly, then press the shutter button halfway again. The close-range warning range is as shown in the table below. However, the indicator may light up when the subject is closer than 30 cm (1 ft.). Make sure that you are not too close to the subject.

(2) We recommend you mount the camera on a tripod if the camera shake warning appears.
