Learn how to use the virtual keyboard to enter text on the LCD monitor of your EOS 7D Mark II camera.
Solution
You need to use the virtual keyboard when entering text, such as registering a nickname for use with a Wi-Fi adapter.
How to use the virtual keyboard
Press the <> button to toggle between the top and bottom entry areas.
Use < > in the top area to move the cursor.
In the bottom area, use < > to select a character, then press < > to enter it. You can check how many characters you have entered and how many more can be entered by referring to [*/*] on the upper right of the screen.
Press the < > button to delete one character.
Press the <MENU> button to confirm your entry. If a confirmation dialog is displayed, select [OK] to exit.
Press the <INFO.> button to cancel text entry and exit. If a confirmation dialog is displayed, select [OK] to exit.
