Safety Shift

The Safety Shift function can be switched on to automatically override the set shutter speed (Tv Mode) or aperture (Av Mode) to avoid over or under exposure.  If the existing light conditions will cause over or under exposure based on the users selected aperture or shutter speed the camera will make the necessary adjustments to the settings to provide a correct exposure.  This feature can be enabled in the menu.

  1. Open the lens cover to turn the camera on.

  2. Press the <MENU> button to display the (Rec. Menu).

  3. Select [Safety Shift] and use the or button on the multi control dial to select [On] or [Off].

  4. Press the <MENU> button to return to shooting mode.

  • This function is only available in Av and Tv modes.
  • Safety Shift is disabled when the flash is enabled.
